R.A.P.I.D® LT is real time PCR instrument capable of analyzing samples for the presence of targeted nucleic acid sequences. This equipment combines rapid air thermocycling and a real time fluorimeter. Because of its sensitivity, accuracy, and high speed, it is the ideal instrument for rapid pathogen identification, within the reach of small research budgets.

This equipment has been validated by MDC in the production of the Clinicalair System, a complete solution to control the microbiological quality of hospital air, especially in high-risk points, such as operating rooms, and intensive care units.

Included with the instrument is a laptop computer pre-loaded with easy-to-use run and analysis software. The software automatically collects and analyzes data. An advanced version of the software is also available for a more precise analysis of data.
