The Kingfisher® magnetic particle processors utilize a revolutionary and patented method to purify DNA/RNA nucleic acids, rapid and reproducible manner.

It uses new technology of magnetic particles transference instead of liquids; the technology is based on magnetic rods which move particles through the various purification phases – binding, mixing, washing and the purified material is eluted in a solution ready for later use.

This equipment has been validated by MDC in the production of the Clinicalair System, a complete solution to control the microbiological quality of hospital air, especially in high-risk points, such as operating rooms, and intensive care units.

Configuration is very simple, it is only necessary to place the samples and reactives on the plates or in the tubes, press the button start, and the extractor will do the rest automatically.

The Kingfisher family comprises four systems, Kingfisher, KingFisher mL, KingFisher 96 and KingFisher Flex, covering sample working volumes handling volumes from 20 µl to 5000 µl.
